The Randall Granier Gallery Print

A Gallery Print is a museum-quality, custom-enhanced, fine-art print. It is a print where I sweat every little detail to ensure that the end result is a beautiful work of fine art. When I create a Gallery Print, I examine every part of each image and adjust the tonal range, contrast, saturation, and clarity to achieve maximum visual impact. The end result is an image that "jumps out" at the viewer.

All prints of sizes 11x14 and larger are Gallery Prints and are available in three finishes. A Standard Finish Gallery Print is created using an optical printing process where traditional photographic paper is exposed to light and is then passed through a chemical bath, using the same exact same process used in the "traditional darkroom."

The Giclee Finish Gallery Print is highest level of print quality. Giclee is the French word which means to squirt, and these prints are created by squirting 9 different shades of ink (including three separate shades of black alone) onto either fine art paper or stretched canvas.

With a Giclee Finish Gallery Print on fine art paper, you will see a greater tonal range and more detail. With a Giclee Finish Gallery Print on stretched canvas, the texture of the material will be visible and the image will take on a softer "painterly" quality.

All Gallery Prints are designed to last a long time before experiencing any noticeable fading or deterioration. Giclee Finish Prints on fine art paper are rated to last well over one hundred years if properly framed behind UV glass. Standard Finish Prints are rated for half that length of time.
