December was a difficult and exciting month for us. I officially launched
my new product Deep Images at the beginning
of the month with a day-long shoot with Forrest and Abigail. The world's
great photojournalists always get the best shots because they spend a lot
of time with the people they photograph. It was so exciting to watch this
principle in action as Forrest and Abigail started being themselves after
the first hour of shooting. By the end, it was like I was one of the family.
You'll never get these kinds of images from a traditional studio. These
shots are one of a kind.
Then things started to become rough. Our baby, Olivia, became sick with an ear infection and was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery for mastoiditis, an infection of one of the bones of the inner ear. After a week in the hospital and two weeks of guerilla antibiotics, she finally started doing much better.
