Well, it's official. I'm now a squash photographer (sport, not food). I
was thrilled to be the official photographer of the Miller Zell
U.S. Squash Championship, which took place in Atlanta, GA this
month. I was able to get some great action shots of the play, as well as
some wonderful shots of the post-game celebration. The first big, post-game
event took place at The GA Aquarium on Friday, March 14.
If that date sounds a little familiar, it's because that is when a tornado
ripped through downtown Atlanta, just a few minutes after I packed up my
gear and left the aquarium. The tornado hit a couple of blocks away from
me, where I had pulled over in a covered parking lot. I watched the rain
pour down and the sky was flickering green, which is something I had never
seen before, but I was oblivous to what was going on until I got home later
and watched the news.

The month started with photographing the GA Cancer Foundation, Celebration
of Life, Fashion Show. Photographing the models, all breast cancer
surivors, was a moving and rewarding experinece for me because I learned,
more than ever, how my work can be used to make a difference. For more information
